COWI – Building the Future of Infrastructure In Tanzania

Location: COWI, Parallelvej 2, 2800 Kongens Lyngby

Time:  1/3/2018 kl 16:00-19.00

About the event: You might have heard about COWI and know that they deliver some of the worlds largest infrastructure solutions. But what does it take to design and build large-scale state-of-the-art bridges, tunnels, and marine tunnels? And how does the environmental and geographical context influence the possibilities to design optimal solutions?

On the 1st of March, COWI invites all DTU students to experience the life as an engineering consultant solving a real-life case that forces you to think outside the box and apply creative methods you won’t find in any curriculum. You will not only have the chance to test yourself and obtain practical experience, but you get an exclusive look into COWI and will meet and mingle with some of the greatest engineers in Denmark.

You will be put into teams of four and presented with a case from the real world that COWI’s own engineers have been working on. You will have one and a half hour to collaborate and find the best possible solution to the challenge, and you can either attend on your own and be assigned to a team upon arrival, or you can sign up as a team beforehand.

Are you ready to challenge your skills in a real-life setting and leave your mark on the future of engineering? Then don’t hesitate to sign up and join us for an evening of filled with challenges, excitement, networking and of course soft drinks and beer.
